The County moved their primary dispatch operations from the jail control room, to the basement of the jail. County and City dispatching duties were combined at this time to produce a central dispatch operation. The new facility is large enough to accommodate eight dispatchers. This facility is designed for limited access, pass through for papers to officers, separate break room, lockers and rest room facilities. |

Posey County Pictured here is the Before and After Photo of a communication system designed for Posey County. This county recently installed a new E-911 center. Dispatching moved from several 7-digit numbers for various services to a common dispatch point using 911. This new dispatch point was moved from the Sheriffs' Office to a new central location. Our work included interfacing with all volunteer fire departments throughout the county, local town marshals, city police and fire and and the county sheriff, in order to design a new dispatch system which would meet all of their needs. Primary objective was to provide countywide portable coverage, generate and issue specifications, oversee bidding process and insure proper installation and operation. |
